THE PAINTED FACE
	In China, the traditional opera varies in a number of ways in every region. However, there is a common point among them: the actors paint their faces. There are many ways of painting, and many of them are not mistakable because the color of the faces stands for a certain type of personality of the character. A large proportion of the face of "the stupid guy", for example, is white. Here are some examples of the painted faces and below are two types of dressings in the traditional Chinese operas.
